process<\/strong><\/p>\n On our SXP25 radial forging machine, hammer blows are used to apply pressure to a block of starting material heated to forging temperature.<\/p>\n Our manipulators, placed before and after the forging machine, rotate the workpiece between each hammer blow.<\/p>\n This produces shafts that are close to the contour and reduce the amount of starting material used.<\/p>\n
