About us
Bahntechnik Brand-Erbisdorf GmbH, a medium-sized company of the BVV Group, is a traditional steel forge in the German Ore Mountains with roots dating back to the middle of the early 18th century. Production focuses on forging wheelset shafts for rail-bound local and long-distance transport as well as seamless rolled rings for further industrial processing. With its radial forging machine for contour-forged shafts, it also occupies a prominent position in Germany.
Brand-Erbisdorf is thus the only company in the BVV Group to serve two different customer groups – the rail industry and the manufacturing industry. Common to both groups is their need for high-quality forged carbon steel.
